They are not large snakes growing up to 90cm long.
Venom
The Leopard Snake is a non-venomous snake but can bite if felt threatened.
Habitat
It likes shrubby vegetation as well as plantations with regular human presences. They can only be found in specific areas around Bulgaria such as the Struma valley and the Southern Black sea coast.
Diet
They mainly feed on small mammals but will also eat birds, bird eggs and sometimes other reptiles and amphibians.
Breeding
Females possibly lay every other year and will lay around 2-8 eggs per clutch. They breed in March to May.
